Freshers’ Weekend – New Lanark

It is time for the next big event for New Scotland – our Freshers’ Weekend! This year we are going to New Lanark!

Freshers’ Weekend means: gathering together in a hostel for a weekend, doing lots of dancing and silly games, getting to know each other better, having lots of fun, a fancy dress costume party (this year’s theme is MYTHOLOGY!), exploring the area and many other things!

New Lanark is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it was founded as an industrial village with the world’s first social and and welfare programmes. Next to the wonderful village lies the nature reserve “Falls of Clyde” with its forest and waterfalls. Don’t miss the chance to spend a weekend with us in these wonderful surroundings and the autumnal forest. On the way back we will have a stop to visit Bothwell Castle.

Please do also check out our Gallery for the pictures of Freshers’ Weekend 2007, when we also had it in New Lanark!
