Do I need dancing shoes?

No. For step dance we recommend to wear hard soled shoes a small heel is handy, but not necessary. For our other classes,  just wear whatever shoes you feel comfortable in, although high heels and steel-capped boots are not recommended. Ballet shoes can also  be used for dancing and are cheaper than country dancing shoes.
